icehotel – the story of torne river
Every winter since 1989, the small Swedish village of Jukkasjärvi north of the Arctic Circle, sees build the Icehotel. True work of ephemeral art delighted tourists looking for unusual and stunning scenery, this hotel has now become legendary and has been emulated around the world.
This year, for its promotion, the Icehotel offers us a beautiful video by the talented Henning Sandström. “The story of Torne River” is a tribute to the river separates Sweden from Finland, known for its form changes with the seasons and where the ice blocks constituting the hotel are from.
