Kit yourself out properly to enjoy ski touring!

Last Friday, we introduced you to Charlie and Maxime, who spent one week in Norway to enjoy ski touring. Today, we share with you the tips of these mountain lovers, to stay warm and dry in any occasion!

Maxime told us that the climate was changing very quickly at the top of the Norwegian summits. In only a few hours, a storm of wind and snow may follow a blue cloudless sky. To get used to this changing weather and get a maximum comfort, you need to kit yourself out properly with the 3 layers system:

Layer 1 : a high-tech underwear, to regulate body moisture
Layer 2 : a down jacket or a fleece, to help retain heat
Layer 3 : waterproof and windproof jacket, to protect from rain and wind

Moreover, this system allows you to adapt your outfit to the intensity of your physical effort, by removing or putting back on your layer 2 or 3.

Parallel, Charlie explained that it was very wet on the boat and their outfits took time to dry. In this context and to start your day in good condition, be sure to take several pairs of gloves, to still have a dry one!

If you’re still not decided to give it a go, the pictures below, taken in Olso et Tromsø by the artist Moyan Brenn, will end up seducing you!
