Mountain on fire

The volcano Tungurahua which means “throat of fire” in the indigenous language Quechua is in eruption. Located in Equator, at 5000 meters of altitude, it created a column of ash of 10 km. A stunning view!

There is a lot of active volcanoes, as Cordón Caulle in Chile, immortalized by the photographer Franscisco Negroni.

Discover an article on volcanoes in the magazine Hiking on the Moon #7, special elements.
