For many of you, forest is the perfect place to enjoy hiking, and for others, this environment is a great playground to let his imagination runs away and to transform a woodland into a work of art. It’s exactly what the multimedia artist Ellie Davies did in the UK forests.
Since now seven years, this talented artist has imagined ephemeral creations in the woodlands, making these places of softened light more mysterious and captivating. Her palette of tools to create these enchanted forests is made of craft materials such as paint and pigment, pools of light, smoke and all kinds of making and building. The advantage is that this method leaves any impact on the environment!
All these creations are made with the same philosophy: “draw the viewer into the forest space, asking them to consider how their own identity is shaped by the landscapes they live in”. Ellie Davies’s work “explores the ways in which identity is formed by the landscapes we live and grow up in”.
