Artist Portrait: Yoann Sauron
The portrait of the week is dedicated to Yoann Sauron, a man who is always travelling and who is a fervent reader of Hiking on the Moon!
In 3 questions, discover his universe full of colors, where animals, landscapes and life moments taken all around the world get mixed up.
[Hiking on the Moon] Yoann, can you describe yourself in a few words?
Yoann: Travel, see the world, cultures and enrichment through others is my motto.
From my young age I have been fortunate to live in exotic destinations.
Through photography, a new world opens up to me, a world of encounters, joy and sadness, that rhythms my photographic projects and my destinations.
I love to travel around the world and to continue my travels through my photos. So I juggled between my engineering job, my passion for sports, mountain, and what brings you and me … Photography.
[Hiking on the Moon] What are your favorite subjects?
Yoann: The unexpected, portraits, landscapes and everything that can develop through a photo!
[Hiking on the Moon] On the Hiking on the Moon’s blog we loved quotes, so can you tell us the one which inspires you the most?
Yoann: Of course! It’s a quote from Marcel Proust, which said «The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes».
