This video was shot in a nature reserve during the coldest winters in Holland with record breaking temperatures. It was extremly hard for the animals.
In winter, keep to the signposted paths and slopes, ensure your dogs are on a lead and keep your distance when you meet any animals. A startled chamois (mountain goat) who runs through 30 metres of powdered snow expends the equivalent, in energy, of 8 days of summer food!
