The Zanskar, seen by Vikas Vasudev
The Zanskar area, North India, in the state of Kashmir, is one of the coldest spaces in the Himalaya. This place is very famous for its breathtaking landscapes and its treks. It’s during one of them that the photographer Vikas Vasudev captured moment of life from people living in this this beautiful remote area.
When Vikas Vasudev relates its 4-day trek in this “Little Tibet”, he describes the hard side of this adventure, the remote mountains, an almost complete isolation, a burning sun, melancholia and a wandering mind. But nevertheless, since his first striking experience, he has gone back several times in the Zanskar area and he’s now sharing his meetings at world’s end!
