Wiki Loves Earth 2015
Wiki Loves Earth is an international photographic competition organized for several years by Wikimédia. Open to everyone, the aim is to encourage the promotion of natural heritage and protected areas in various countries. Put your camera on!
To join this competition, you just need to take a picture of natural heritage sites, such as nature reserves, landscape conservation areas, national parks, scenic/landscape areas, remarkable gardens, etc. in the following countries: Algeria, Andorra, Austria, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Estonia, France, Germany, Iraq, Macedonia, Morroco, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Syria, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine and Uruguay.
For example, in France, 377 protected areas are eligible for the contest.
Practical information:
– From May 1st to 31, you can upload as many pictures of natural heritage as you want: Wiki Love Earth Upload
– Your pictures can be taken at any time, but you need to upload them in May
– Your pictures must be under a free licence
Every day, a picture is selected and highlighted on the page Wikimédia commons, and at the end of the contest, a jury will pick the best pictures and reward the photographer.
